1st November is the official continental and international day for the celebration of Africa’s young People.


As part of commemorating Africa Youth Day, Guidy Worx (GW) in collaboration with Expression Session George is hosting an event at Parkdene Primary school on Thursday, 1 November 2018.
Guidy Worx is a creative platform; arts-based social enterprise and the Africa Youth Day event is one of its annual  projects. Guidy Worx as a youth-oriented pan-African grassroots organisation works to realise the vision of the AU, In the AU Agenda 2063 document, aspiration 42 reads: Pan-African ideals will be fully embedded in all school curricula and Pan-African cultural assets (heritage, folklore, languages, film, music, theatre, literature, festivals, religions and spirituality.) will be enhanced. The African creative arts and industries will be celebrated throughout the continent, as well as, in the diaspora and contribute significantly to self-awareness, well-being and prosperity, and to world culture and heritage. African languages will be the basis for administration and integration. African values of family, community, hard work, merit, mutual respect and social cohesion will be firmly entrenched.
This event will bring a lot of young people together to commemorate this day with the objective of Creating, maintaining and increasing awareness for the public at large on the critical role young people play in the transformation of society for  inclusive growth and development.
