Event Details

Dear [Activator],

Official Invitation to Participate in the Ekurhuleni Youth Leadership Kickstart Dialogue: “Bridging the Gap and Decoding Access to Opportunity.”

The Ekurhuleni Youth Leadership Kickstart Dialogue (EYLK), in collaboration with Activate Leadership and the Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality, will host a dialogue on the [22 September 2017 at the Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality (Head Office), Cnr Roses and Cross Streets, Germiston, from 9:00am to 14:30pm] on “Bridging the Gap and Decoding Access to Opportunity.” The dialogue is a platform created to bring together government, industry experts, and the youth to reflect on challenges faced by the South African youth. EYLK would be honoured if you would participate as a participant at the dialogue.

The youth of South Africa are the most vulnerable group in society. South African youth face numerous challenges; namely high unemployment, limited economic opportunities, unrefined entrepreneurial leadership and knowledge, and limited access to quality education. The dialogue, “Bridging the Gap and Decoding Access to Opportunity” will be a space whereby youth will have an opportunity to engage with government, industry experts, and youth of a similar caliber. It is the aim of the dialogue that speakers will impart knowledge to youth, however, beyond that, the dialogue endeavours to create a space where innovative solutions to challenges affecting the youth are created.

Given your extensive body of work in your respective industry, EYLK would welcome your contributions to the dialogue, expounding – particularly but not exclusively – [Youth Unemployment, Youth Economic Emancipation and Development and Youth Enterprise and Small Business Development ].
